Math in Mathematics

Do you think you could do progress without any outlines or plans?

OH,my god!! I faced problems with teaching...
While teaching, I was thinking what I did something wrong. Then, I found out my problem-from the starting point. I thought I began with faulty way. When I and Hyunju started the study-Math-with Murnal. We, just, just started without any plan. In retrospect, I had no big picture. I mean I didn't think seriously about what I would teach and how I would teach. This seems like the attitude of an on-looker and I thought it was irresponsible. As I would undertake the role, I have to take the respinsibility about that role and be serious for doing it.

Before reaching there, we already knew the supervisor of today is Shiv Santish Jha sir as well as our math teacher. So, we thought 'He is our math teacher and we have to teach math. Then, when we face some problems or difficulties, we ask sir and let him explain it to him!' But, our expectation diverged completely. There was no help and no ask. We had to solve the problems with our hands because those are ours. There is an old saying: If we do not solve their own work, nobody could solve. It is not just your job is your job and my job os my job but you have to solve your problems yourself and try to find the solution because they know most well themselves their own problems. I feel shamed about the careless think, irresponsible attitude, and selfish thoughts which is 'just give him or let him do it'.

So, we made a plan-how would we go(which direction, which way, by what) and take the chart written on our needed materials. We would prepare and then reach toward!

Dear Dasom,

It was great to see you and Hyunju teaching Mathematics to that child. Initially there was a problem as the terms used by you and that child were different. I was happy to see the way you took help from your friends to find corresponding mathematical terms in English for the terms that were coming to your mind in your native language. Thereafter language was never a barrier and that is the beauty of Mathematics. I was extremely pleased to see the contentment on the face of your student after understanding the concepts. You did a good job.

The planned way in which you have decided to deliver your lessons in future will certainly help you a lot.

Keep it up.

With best wishes
Shiv Santosh Jha

Thank you, sir.
YES! It is really good for him(my student) and me also. We would advance together. Moreover, I could get many effects by teaching Mathematics though English is not my first language. But, as you said, it is not a problem. We could understand and explain with diagrams, chart, drawing it... I really agree that is the beauty of Mathematics!!
I'll keep it up more than ever! I think the most important thing is keeping the pace with him one by one.
