Do you know how my heart is getting warmer than before...

After winter vacation, after becoming a new year, this was I and my friends’ first visit to Home for Old aged. Unfortunately, this was the last time for DP-2, my senior. From that fact, I could get another responsibility. Also, I appreciated the value which we’ve made by doing work together i.e. cooperation. After they leave, it might seem to be a burden for me. But, I don’t think it is burden. It would be another chance for dealing with big job. It would be helpful for me.


When I reached there, I saw few grandfathers coming out of the buildings. They were watering garden. They’ve remembered me and my friends and welcomed us by asking why you didn’t come here for a long time. I was really happy for meeting them again, sharing our stories, and seeing them leading a life properly.

Today, I got my laptop for sharing some pictures with them. Last time, I promised to show my photos in Korea with one of grandfathers. We were enjoying very much by talking about different cultures and life environments between India and Korea. They seemed to be happy in knowing about another country indirectly. While explaining my pictures, I couldn’t but face one wall, different language. So, I took a help from my friends and supervisor Jackson sir.

Before leaving there, one of them whose name is Maruti Khermode told me, “We’re really happy to know you and to be able to spend our time with you. Thanks for sharing your stories and photos. Could you print them out for us? We want to keep it here. So, we can enjoy…” I’ll surely print them out for them. This is another promise with them! Also, they are really good advisers. When one of my seniors, Kaustubh, informed them this is the last time for him because of the final exam, they advised how examinees take their position and how to pay attention in exam. From elders, we can always get warm words. This is what I want to put on ethical issue in this occasion. We must not ignore their(elders') position in society and in real life.

Till now, I have a small problem in communicating with them because they don’t know English much and I can’t speak their language, Hindi and Marathi, well. But, that is no problem at all. Another challenge for me! I can know how I can enjoy with them. I can manage it. I’m sure we will make wonderful memories one by one.

Sports Annual Day, the first

The first sports Annual Day was held in DY PATIL INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL on 26 January.

As we already divided our work and made a plan for Sports Annual Day, I and my friends stood at each portion. I have done Announcement and Prize Distribution. Chiranjeet sir who is CAS coordinator was in charge of Announcement. Before doing my work, I wanted to practice. But, I couldn’t have time for practicing. We who were in charge of Announcement (Dasom, Aditi, Nishad, Mukul) did many mistakes. Sir told four of us, “This is what happens when you didn’t practice.” It’s very true. No practicing means I didn’t have responsibility for doing it. So, I really shamed about it.

While the event, I really enjoyed. All students and teachers were enjoying together. We all tried to do the best. Also, I was a participant in 4x100 MT Relay Running (DP). ‘Relay’ needs cooperation very much. I and my team showed a perfect cooperation. Then, we could get Golden Medal!

Also, 26th January is Republic Day of India. The Republic Day of India commemorates the date on which the Constitution of India came into force replacing the Government of India Act 1935 as the governing document of India on 26 January 1950.While India's Independence Day celebrates its freedom from British Rule, the Republic Day celebrates the coming into force of its constitution.
In Korea, there is a Republic day. But, we don't celebrate it much.  I could get new information by experiencing another national event.

Whatever we do, whatever we challenge, we are able to get many ideas how we could be with others. I really appreciate whatever I try, do, and act because I'll run in any situation.

Test...the 1st beginning

On last CAS period, I and friends planned having test with them. So, we had a test today. Supervisor was Mr. Jha who is our DP coordinator. I could feel we have real test because Jha sir is conducting all of us.
I think this was the first test with my student, Murnal. Last time, we had a test. But, it was just kind of exercise. This time, we took a time limit and had a test. Before starting the test, I explained how you should do in test.


1. Consider the time limit and arrange the question well. It means you think about your ability. For example, ‘this question will take 3minutes.’

2. After arranging them, forget the time limit. If you consider it continuously, you might feel difficult to solve the problem. Then, you might waste your time and miss the Answer&Question.

3. Read question carefully. All questions come from whatever you learned. If you catch that point, you could solve it easily.

4. The procedure is another important thing. If your answer was wrong, examiner will check your procedure how you solved. If it was right, you can get marks. Also, if you write procedures properly, you can get more exact answer.


Also, I should explain what we learned on last time. He looked like getting tension because this was the first test. But, I encouraged him to solve and try it. The courage is very important in whatever we do. Personally, I think we should try whatever we haven’t before. Between teacher and student, the courage becomes the most important thing. Especially, the courage between teacher and student is based on Belief. While teaching or learning, we should believe each other and get positive effects.

After 40 minutes, the test was finished. Then, we checked answers and tried to catch why we got wrong answer in those questions. This part is another important procedure. We should take a feedback. After taking a feedback, we can put one more step. I was really happy he understood very well. Next time, we would have another test in different chapter. He seemed not to get tension anymore. I hope he feels comfortable in test and whatever he tries to do.

Lesson Plan&Test sheet +Answer

By preparing of test and next class I could think few points of outcomes. First one is the cheating. It is for both teachers and students. Another one is the trust. I think trust/belief is the most important thing between teachers and learners. If they don’t have it, how the class would be held or how they could continue their work. It should be passed off as we do work with cooperation. I must say Responsibility should be there. As a teacher, I should prepare more and more and should learn more than my students to teach well. Personally, I think Responsibility is based on the Trust. While doing all these things with them, I feel very happy because I learn many outcomes from them. I'll not try to find but try to learn on and on.

To gain more things...

40 Minutes. We were waiting all boys for 40minutes. They should have come back at 10 o’clock. But, they came late. Needless to say, keeping the appointment especially, time is very important. While waiting them I could understand completely how others feel when the appointment has not kept. Personally, I don’t like to harm others. So, that is one of my values. We are the citizens who live with others together. That is why we should think how we should be with others.


This time, I could share another feeling with them. Yesterday was a special day in India. It is called Makar Sakranti. On this day, people fly kites. Also, they make special sweet, called Tilgud . CAS supervisor Vijayalaxmi  ma’am brought that sweet for us. She said, “I brought it for you people. Share it. Also, share it with these people.” I could say we don’t learn/teach only but also share foods/preference.

Another beautiful work was there. We got the donated books which we collected on World Literature Day on 2010. I felt really sorry for not giving them on right time….
I also felt happiness while they were looking at those books and opening them one by one. After arranging them, we started studying. I taught new concept of Math with Murnal. Here is the concept which I taught.

-Construction of Quadrilateral-

1. With 4 sides and 1 diagonal
2. With 3 sides and 2 diagonals

We need compass, pencil and scale for starting this concept. I’d like to put one detailed example.

. To construct a Quadrilateral when 4 sides and One diagonal are given:
Example I: Construct a quadrilateral ABCD in which AB = 4.8 cm, BC = 4.3 cm, CD = 3.6 cm, AD = 4.2 cm and diagonal AC = 6cm.
Solution: We may divide it into triangles, namely ABC and ACD. The steps of construction are:

Step 1: Draw AB= 4.8 cm.
Step 2: With A as center and radius equal to 6 cm, draw an arc.
Step 3: With B as center and radius equal to 4.3 cm, draw another arc, cutting the previous arc at C.
Step 4: Join BC.
Step 5: With A as center and radius equals 4.2 cm, draw an arc.
Step 6: With C as center and radius equal to 3.6 cm, draw another arc cutting previous at D.
Step 7: Join AD and CD.

Then ABCD is the required quadrilateral shown.

This time was after long time because we had a winter vacation. But, now, I felt we communicate better than before. I really thank him for understanding and following me.

Plan for Sports Annual Day

I and my friends should make a plan for Sports Annual Day. On the CAS period, all of us went to the sports ground and we’ve seen the ground which we will make the tracks and football ground.


First, we calculated the track under the sun. Nishad, Mukul and Jackson sir calculated the radius of the semi circles’ sector. It was 19.09m for both sides. There are eight tracks. Each width of track should be a 1.22m and the length of two straight lines between semi circles is 40m. Also, there was another plan which we should take up. Except drawing/making the tracks, we should prepare other roles. There were announcement, taking judgers and starter who let runners know the start time, prize part and so on. I and Aditi will be in charge of announcement for Sport Annual Day. Sir asked Aditi and I, “Both of you has done this work on Annual Day. So, I think you could do it better than that day and quietly well. Could you do that?“ We decided to do it. But, on the other hand, I wanted to take another role which I haven’t done. If I take different work, I could get another good challenge in doing different one. However, I could get a good challenge by doing the same thing. I could do it better than before because I’ve already had an idea about that work.

We should decide each needy work. When we are ready to start Sports Annual Day, we will be able to see all our friends and students who are enjoying on the ground which we make. I want to start to make an energetic Sports Annual Day. Go Go!

Even from taking care of them...

-Gardening-



 After winter vacation, we, I and my friends, had to take care of garden by reminding from gardening supervisor, Vijayalaxmi ma'am. First, we started caring them by observing grown plants. There are egg plants, chilles, tomatoes, and other flowers. When ma'am told us her feeling about growing plants, I also could feel pleasure and get how mothers take care of their children and what it does mean. It is not just pleasure but over the pleasure. As seeing her feeling, I got what I have to do and which kind of attitude or mind should I take.

 We picked out dead plants/flowers and digged died soil with device/stone to help water be soaked into the ground well. During watering, we found some plants which almost lied. So, we should make supporters for them to make them stand up and grow vertically.

 One by one, taking care of them gives me new thoughts or feelings. They just remind me to think life earnestly. That is the reason I can not help but thank everything around me, with me...
